The Pub

Overlooking the leafy Harry Noble Park the new Swanson Hotel is a welcome addition to the burgeoning dining scene in the inner city and the colourful village atmosphere of Erskineville.

Formerly the Kurrajong Hotel, this old favourite has been taken over and undergone an extensive refurbishment by the Balmain Pub Group, known for the popular Greenwood Hotel in North Sydney, and the Town Hall and Balmain Hotel in Balmain.

Under the guidance of former AHA chef of the year Brad Sloane, the Swanson Hotel has opened up level 1 for the first time with an 80 seat restaurant which includes a sleek new cocktail bar focusing on fresh, delicious cocktails, a private dining room and simple clean food with a gastro pub influence.

The ground floor features more casual style booth seating and offers simple delicious bar fare such as a classic Chicken Schnitty, Wagyu Cheese Burger and a Pork and Apple Cider Pie. Pizzas are made in house (including gluten free). All food is available all day and night and of course we screen all the important games of the season, no matter your code.

Sticking true to all the essence of what makes a great pub, there’s a focus on craft beer with a great $4.50 happy hour that includes all Tap’s as well as house wine and spirits from 4pm to 6pm Monday to Saturday!
